I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in December 2014 with a degree in Special Education. I spent the last three-and-a-half years at Cross Timbers Elementary in Edmond. I love teaching! I get so much joy from seeing social and emotional progress my students' lives! I want to see my students be successful not only as students in school but as citizens in their community, and behavior is an important part of that.
Before I became a teacher, I worked with adults with significant cognitive and physical disabilities at a community called Wings. I worked as an art/life skills teacher supporting teams of 10-12 adults. I also have worked as a one-on-one aid to two different individuals. Some of my most meaningful relationships and life lessons came from that time. In each job I had the opportunity to work closely with families, especially parents. One of the most vital and practical lessons that I learned is that communication is KEY. Hop on over to the contact link to learn a little more about how to get in touch.
